  • What if you can build anywhere on the map but in the central biome nothing can destroy your base. Then in the desert maybe the weaker building materials can be destroyed by a sandstorm meaning you can build there but you have to sacrifice valuable materials. And in all the biomes besides the middle monsters will attack your base. This means you can set up temporary shelter in all the biomes but as you venture out, permanent bases will come at a greater cost. And if you limit the flat space in the further out biomes it will restrict those bases to being little storage areas and safe houses and the middle will be the only place where there is enough room for a main base.

  • this was so refreshing, and inspiring. I think having one base in the middle is the best option and maybe the player could build waypoints/safe places in the outer biomes but in a much smaller area. also, my favourite are rainbow paddle pops lol

  • well I want to point out something when you said that the Fixed map in rust never got old. In rust you re-spawned always in a different location so you need to try to somehow try to spawn people in different biomes or areas because it will get really boring really quickly if you replay and its the same location at the same spot

  • You should make it so you can grow and make villages and be able to have an army and make it so players can attack each others villages

  • Hopefully you haven't made it too far yet, but an idea would be to have the player place a flag, kinda like stone hearth and that is the home of your base. That way if a player really wants to they can build wherever they want, and then you can restrict the build area to a 100x100 square or something. that way if the player wants to build by a river, or wants to build direct in the center, they can. It give them a chance to build closer to resources or a more aesthetically pleasing area.

  • for the building part. I think it would be cool if u had a central building space. Like the 100x100 u said in your video and then some very small scattered building areas in the forest biom so u can make small checkpoints maybe even with portals. Othewise the game would become a walking sim if you're at the stage where you explore in the desert or stone biome.

  • I'm a music producer and sound designer. I'd love to get more experience in the game world. If I could collaborate with some audio assets in the future I'd be more than happy to do so. Please contact me if interested! As for the building size I'd go for option 2 (building area being only the center) although I believe it should be big enough so that the player could build small villages rather than a big central base (cuz that's what I liked to do in building games). Another idea could be than in those quests the ppl you find not only they are enemies but they could maybe also be traders or friendly npc. Really like this idea and the fact you are recording all of it! keep it up. looking forward to the next video ;)

  • I think it would be cool if the player could only build in one limited area but they got to choose where. So maybe at the start of the game the player would be given a workbench item and then wherever they place it becomes their base.

  • I would buy this game so fast. Also maybe you could add a very simple type of character creation, like you just flip through a few preset Faces/heads, body, legs, etc.

  • Really like that video series. For the spawn point I really like the idea that you have to work with what you get. But I think spawing in the same area every time could get boring. I‘d like it if you spawn every round at a random point in the middle area. :)

  • I really like this map idea but wont it get boring having to go through all the biomes to get to the one you really want? If you can keep the closer biomes interesting all game long its still an awesome idea its like Attack On Titans world (its an anime that had a similar world divided by walls. You may get some inspiration from it if you havent watched it already) Keep it up :D

  • Maybe you could have one main area where you can build a large base and around the map have smaller areas where you can build small outlets for gathering specific resources lets say.
