  • That snare sounds outstanding, can you specify on what that is? I know you have Tama Starclassic Bubinga, but not sure if it is a matching snare. Awesome job on the playing, "The Middle", lol, I have fudged my way through that one a couple of times, great song, I just had to work on it more. I like the band as well, cool selection of songs, sounds like it would be a blast to play along.

  • I never realized how low you play your set. I haven't been able to deviate from my layout that I've used all my life.

  • On this song Pride and joy, are you thinking Texas shuffle or Chicago shuffle. I use the Texas. Can you explain sometime the difference between the two shuffles for those that don’t know the difference. Always glad to see your new videos. Good job your a machine!

  • Being able to see dynamics of communication on stage and how you negotiate some tricky transitions is insightful, and informative for those of us who sub. Especially enjoyed seeing how you communicated the click w/ your left foot work. Thanks for the glimpse of the gig, Stephen!

  • Great video Stephen. QUESTIONS: Are you following a strict set list here at this gig or is the front man pulling tunes out of his hat ? Do instant requests occur for big tippers or pretty ladies? Thanks.....Mike.

  • Hi Stephen, great video, thank you. It showed me that solid drumming that accentuates the music is more important than trying to be overly fancy (most YouTube drum videos are about tricks and accentuating the drummer). Thanks again. Awesome πŸ‘

  • Awesome man,pro performance. I'm shure the band liked it. Just lost the lady that's got me back into drumming after 39 years, my wife of 19 years. I'm going to drum like it's 1977 again

  • Love watching you play live brother ....you always seems so relaxed and in the pocket .... i am playing this sat night myself , first live show in about 4 months , testing out a few new ones before a pretty busy nov/dec ...

  • Never listened to the whole video, really on top of the beat on pride and joy. { everyone feels things differently) would prefer to heat the back beat behind the beat ever so slightly. Makes the snare seem fatter. Good dynamics, solid time.

  • The look from the guitar player after the tasty fill on brightsides. I’ve seen it before, just probably not as often as you do! Great playing and such inspiration for us drummers! Please keep the live videos coming as well as the lessons! God bless you brother!
